  When I was holidaying with my mother,when we visited the local Swimming Centre for a quick swim. There was so many school kids on that day. It must've been a weekend. We visited the local Mine Company,where my dad was working as a Handyman there. He was living in the workers huts at that time. When my dad had finished his time at the Mining Company,we came home by his car back to Murray Bridge,where my Uncle & Aunt were living there. I suddenly caught the Chicken pox. I had to stay indoors for a few days until I was well enough to travel back home to the seaside suburb of Christies Beach. I found out that it was caused by the local Swimming Pool,not cleaned out or sanitised properly. When we arrived back home again,I had to be vaccinated against the disease by my local GP. Ever since then,I have NEVER been close to the Swimming Centres. It seems that my skin has been sensitive towards Chlorine water,but when I walk in salted water, like the ocean,I have no problems. I wish there was a salted Swimming Pool in our area for people who have sensitive skin. Salt water is much better for everyone's health. Although it would be expensive,it would benefit people who have sensitive skin. Salt therapy is also good for Asthmatics.

  Great value for money and two pools (one for the little ones as well as a water play) one great thing is you pay once and can come in and out all day that day. Cafe offers great meals at good prices and the staff are very friendly

  The Tennant Creek Swimming Pool is a real asset to our community and the grounds would be the perfect setting for a family gathering.
